General – Name Change
The Australian company MMA Offshore, which provides services and vessels for offshore energy projects, has officially changed its name to Cyan Renewables.
This change comes after the Singapore-based company bought MMA Offshore last summer.
In July 2024, Cyan Renewables, a company owned by Seraya Partners, agreed to buy MMA Offshore for AUD 1.1 billion (about EUR 615 million). This deal added 20 ships to Cyan’s fleet and helped them learn more about the Australian offshore wind market.
On 15 July, it was reported that MMA Offshore had changed its name to Cyan Renewables and had opened an office in Melbourne.
The new office will be in a place where there are already plans for more offshore wind farms in Victoria and New South Wales. Wesley Griffiths, Head of Offshore Wind in Australia, will be in charge.
“Australia is about to see a big change in its offshore wind energy, and Cyan Renewables is here to help make that change happen,” said Keng Lin Lee, the CEO of Cyan Renewables. “We’re combining MMA’s local knowledge with Cyan’s global experience in renewable energy. This makes us the best partner for Australia’s clean energy future.”
