New submarine cable factory in South Korea

Taihan Cable & Solution invests KRW 497.2 billion in a new submarine cable factory in South Korea.

On July 16, the company it had decided to invest KRW 497.2 billion in building Submarine Cable Factory 2 in Dangjin.

The new cable factory, equipped with a cutting-edge VCV tower, is designed to produce 640 kV-class submarine HVDC cables and 400 kV-class submarine HVAC cables.

Construction is set to begin this year, with commercial production (1st phase) scheduled for 2027.
