Wind Energy – Lease Agreement
Ørsted’s Hornsea 3 has officially signed a lease agreement for up to 300,000 square metres at Steel River Quay – a key part of Teesworks on the south bank of the River Tees.

This massive area will become a crucial base for Hornsea 3, storing giant components like monopile foundations (each weighing over 2,300 tonnes) before they’re loaded onto OWIVs.
Steel River Quay is the first UK port designed specifically for offshore wind, and Hornsea 3 will be its first large-scale user. It’s yet another huge vote of confidence in the world-class infrastructure we’re building here.
