Wind Energy – Partnership
Iberdrola signed a partnership agreement with Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company) for the East Anglia THREE offshore wind project in the UK.
This is a €5.2 billion co-investment, representing the largest offshore wind transaction of the decade.
Under the agreement, Masdar and Iberdrola will each hold a 50% stake and exercise joint governance over this 1.4 GW project, which will become one of the world’s two largest offshore wind farms once operational in late 2026.
With the capacity to power 1.3 million British homes, East Anglia THREE is a cornerstone of the UK’s clean energy ambitions.
