Chevron to close Aberdeen office

Wednesday, July 2 2025

General – Chevron

Chevron will close its Aberdeen office by December next year as part of a company-wide cost-cutting strategy.

The closure, reported by Reuters, will take place between December this year and December 2026.

The Aberdeen closure is just the latest round of job cuts, following the announcement in February that the company would lay off 15% to 20% of its global workforce as part of a plan to cut capital expenditure by $2 billion.
