Wind Energy – He Dreiht
Cable-laying work has been completed for EnBW’s 960-megawatt He Dreiht offshore wind farm.
The final inner-array cable has been installed, completing approximately 100 kilometres of cable to connect the 13th and last turbine string to the BorWin5 converter platform.
The first cable was laid on March 10, following the engineering, procurement, and construction phase.
Seaway7 deployed its cable-laying vessel Seaway Aimery and support vessel Seaway Moxie to carry out the work. A total of 64 cables have now been laid and pulled into place, with Seaway Aimery currently trenching the final sections and Seaway Moxie completing stripping, routing and jointing operations.
Located about 90 kilometres northwest of Borkum and 110 kilometres west of Heligoland, the He Dreiht wind farm will feature 64 turbines.
