Through this contract, LS Marine Solution will begin the construction of a large-scale high voltage direct current (HVDC) laying vessel with a cable loading weight of 13,000 tons and a total weight of 18,800 tons.

The ship will be the largest in Asia and will be equipped to lay both HVDC underwater cables and optical cables simultaneously.

The vessel is expected to enter operation in the first half of 2028 after approximately two years of construction and will operate a global turnkey contracting system that encompasses design, production, and construction in conjunction with the LS Greenlink underwater cable factory in the United States.

Salt Ship Design from Norway has designed the vessel, measuring 148,4 m in overall length and 31 m in breadth.
