Development of ports for offshore wind projects in South Korea

LS Cable & System announced on June 18 that LS Marine Solution, LS Materials, and Blue Water Shipping signed an MoU to cooperate in developing ports in South Korea where offshore wind turbine components will be pre-assembled and loaded onto installation vessels.

A construction base port is a key infrastructure for building large-scale offshore wind farms. This year, three companies plan to select one port in the country to transform into a construction base port capable of handling 1 GW of offshore wind turbines.
