Wind Energy – Turbines

Yesterday SeaTwirl’s ‘Verti-Go’ project was selected by Horizon Europe as the successful applicant and is thereby invited into the grant preparation stage for the 15 million Euro funding call.

The application is under the EU program ‘Demonstrations of innovative floating wind concepts’ within CINEA – European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency, to demonstrate SeaTwirl’s groundbreaking floating wind turbine technology.

The Verti-Go project entails a full scale demonstration of a 2MW SeaTwirl turbine, including the complete project development of design, fabrication, installation and operation.

“We are truly excited to have been invited into the grant preparation stage for this very important Horizon Europe Call. This is a recognition of SeaTwirl’s unique technology and the potential it holds. It has been an extraordinary effort by the team and our consortium partners to come to this stage. We are looking forward to the next phase of the process,” says Johan Sandberg, CEO of SeaTwirl.
