Wind Energy – Floating Wind

Morek Engineering takes the lead in a consortium based in South West England to introduce the cutting-edge Future FLOW Installation Vessel (FFIV), specifically designed for the Floating Offshore Wind (FLOW) market.

This innovative vessel is a game-changer, tailored to meet the sector’s evolving needs with features like low-emission fuel systems, enhanced mooring capacity, and high-efficiency operations.

Partners in the consortium are Solis Marine Engineering, Tope Ocean, First Marine Solutions and Celtic Sea Power.

Bob Colclough of Morek emphasises: “Our aim was not just to upgrade propulsion for sustainability but to pioneer maximum carbon reduction for future floating wind farms.”
