Fossil Energy – Verdande Field

Equinor has authorization from the Norwegian Ocean Industry Authority (Havtil) to use some of the new facilities related to the Verdande Field subsea development in the Norwegian Sea.

Equinor submitted the plan for development and operation for Verdande to the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy in late 2022.

The consent will allow preparation and pressurization of the Verdande gas-lift pipeline, control cable and manifold for the tieback to the Norne FPSO, with production due to start this year.

The company discovered the field in 2017 in 380 m of water, 10 km north of the Norne Field.
