Fossil Energy – Búzios 11 field

Subsea7 has been awarded a super-major contract by Petrobras for the Búzios 11 field.

Valued at over $1.25 billion, the contract includes the engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation and pre-commissioning of 112 km of rigid risers and flowlines.

All project management and engineering is expected to commence immediately at Subsea7’s offices in Rio de Janeiro, Suresnes and Sutton. Fabrication of the pipelines will take place at Subsea7’s spoolbase in Brazil, with offshore activities scheduled for 2027 and 2028.

The Búzios 11 development is part of Petrobras’ strategy to expand the field’s production capacity, with the P-83 FPSO unit expected to produce up to 225,000 barrels of oil per day and 12 million cubic metres of gas per day, helping to increase the field’s installed capacity from the current 600 barrels per day to 2 million barrels per day.
