Solan oil field stopped production

Fossil Energy – Solan Oil Field

HarbourEnergy reached a major milestone for its UK business on 25 April when it safely shut in production from our Solan oil field, located 169km west of Shetland.

Since being acquired as part of the Premier Oil transaction, Solan has been an excellent asset for HarbourEnergy, setting the standard for safe, reliable and responsible operations.

Solan has not been without its challenges, with its remote location and extreme weather conditions requiring an innovative subsea storage facility with shuttle tanker transfer of produced hydrocarbons, but HarbourEnergy’s commitment to safety has been exemplary.
