Seaway7 confirms the installation of the first monopile foundation at the East Anglia THREE wind farm.
At almost 84m high and weighing around 1,800 tonnes, this monopile also represents a new offshore wind industry record – the largest to be installed from a jack-up vessel in Europe to date.
It is the first of 95 monopiles to be installed by Seaway7 as part of this multi-year construction project, which also includes the engineering, supply and installation of the inner array cables.
