Wind Energy – Cable System

ZTT Submarine Cable & System (ZTTSC) has secured an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for the Yangjiang Fanshi II offshore wind project in China.

Under this agreement, ZTTSC will install a 500 kV three-core AC submarine cable system, extending 92 kilometers, to deliver 1,000 MW of clean energy from the offshore wind farm to onshore power networks.

The company describes this undertaking as one of the most sophisticated and extensive offshore wind cable systems in the sector.

The 1 GW Yangjiang Fanshi II offshore wind farm is owned and developed by CGN Wind Energy Limited, a prominent energy firm in China.

Located in the South China Sea off the coast of Guangdong, China, the project is scheduled to begin construction in 2025, with full commercial operations expected by 2029.
