Wind Energy – Dogger Bank C
At its facilities in Puerto Real, Navantia Seanergies has carried out the loading of the HVDC substation jacket for the Dogger Bank C offshore wind platform, an EPC contract carried out by Navantia Seanergies as subcontractor to Aibel.

Navantia Seanergies is a Spanish state-owned shipbuilding company specialising in civil and military naval construction, the design of deep-sea systems and the manufacture of structures for the renewable energy sector.
The Dogger Bank C offshore wind farm is being developed in the UK North Sea by a joint venture between SSE Renewables, Equinor, and Eni. It is a 1.2GW wind farm that will cover an area almost the size of Greater London or almost twice the size of New York City.
The jacket and platform will be installed at the Dogger Bank wind farm being developed by SSE Renewables, Equinor, and Vårgrønn.
Measuring 37 metres by 38 metres, with a height of 46 metres and a weight of 2900 tonnes, the jacket represents a significant engineering challenge. The complex operation required collaboration between technicians and engineers from various departments, including the project team, engineering, production engineering, production, and auxiliary services.
