Wind Energy – PPA

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) has signed a corporate power purchase agreement (PPA) for the 500MW Fengmiao 1 offshore wind project off Taiwan.

The cPPA with Far EasTone Telecommunications is through CIP’s Flagship Fund V. “This collaboration marks a significant step toward sustainable transformation and carbon reduction in Taiwan.

“Far EasTone’s commitment to this partnership highlights both its dedication to sustainability and its trust in CIP’s engineering and financial expertise,” stated CIP.

Fengmiao 1 also has two other PPAs, one with United Microelectronics Corporation, for 30 years, and one with Sino American Silicon Products (SAS) and its renewable energy subsidiary Sustainable Energy Solution (SES).

With project financing nearing completion, Fengmiao 1 is set to become the first offshore wind project in Taiwan’s Round 3 to start construction.
