General – Bibby Marine

SMST has been awarded a contract by Armon Shipyards for the delivery of a gangway (Telescopic Access Bridge L1) with automation package and 10t Motion Compensated Crane to the new, innovative electric Commissioning Service Operation Vessel (eCSOV) of Bibby Marine.

This world’s first fully electric offshore vessel is designed with a powerful battery system allowing full day operations solely on battery power. The SMST mission equipment fits seamlessly with the sustainable principles of the cutting-edge vessel by reducing emissions and enhancing operational efficiency.

On board of the eCSOV the Telescopic Access Bridge L-Series with automation features will ensure safe and efficient personnel transfers, while SMST’s Motion Compensated Crane L Series ensures excellent lifting operations in dynamic offshore conditions.

Jochem Tuinstra, Sales Manager at SMST, affirms: “We are proud to support Bibby Marine in their mission to advance sustainable offshore operations. With the delivery of our mission equipment, we are equipping this vessel with the latest in offshore access and lifting technology, ensuring safe and efficient operations in the most demanding environments, while contributing to a greener future.”
