Wind Energy – Baltyk Poland

Equinor and Polenergia have signed a contract for offshore wind farms Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3.

The contract is for subsea rock installation and it was concluded with Van Oord. The Bałtyk offshore wind farms are one of the largest infrastructure projects in Poland’s history.

The rock installation campaign will secure the foundations of wind turbines and offshore substations as well as routes of the inter-array cables and those connecting Bałtyk 2 and 3 wind farms to the Polish power grid.

The signed contract regulates the procurement, transportation, and protection of the seabed, involving the precise placement of stones to protect cables and foundations.
