Wind Energy – Taiwan

Per Mejnert Kristensen, President, Asia Pacific, Ørsted, just announced in a social media post the commencement of offshore construction for the 920MW Greater Changhua 2b and 4 offshore wind farms.

This project will deliver substantial clean energy to corporate customer in Taiwan, playing a significant role in Taiwan’s energy transition.

This milestone clearly demonstrates Ørsted’s unwavering commitment to developing, constructing, and operating large-scale offshore wind farms in Taiwan.

As the first offshore wind farms in Taiwan backed by a CPPA, Greater Changhua 2b and 4 highlight the confidence that the customer and the market have in Ørsted’s leading technical expertise and experience.

Combined with the operational Greater Changhua 1 and 2a, Ørsted will deliver a total of nearly 2 GW of clean energy for Taiwan. Together, we are well on track to deliver our vision – create a world that runs entirely on green energy!
