Wind Energy – France
The maritime landscape of France is set to undergo a remarkable transformation with the commencement of construction for the operations and maintenance (O&M) base of the Dieppe Le Tréport offshore wind farm.

This project, which boasts a generating capacity of 496 MW, is not just a leap towards sustainable energy but also a catalyst for local employment and economic growth.
Located on a 4,000-square-metre site at the Port of Dieppe, the O&M base is strategically positioned to support the operational needs of the wind farm, which is approximately 15 kilometers from Le Tréport and 17 kilometers from Dieppe.
According to Ocean Winds, the consortium behind the project, the new facility is expected to create around 70 local jobs, providing a much-needed boost to the regional economy.
The O&M base will encompass a total surface area of 2,379 square meters, designed to house essential offices, storage areas, and changing rooms for technicians. This facility will serve as the nerve center for all logistical operations related to the wind farm, ensuring that maintenance and operational tasks are executed efficiently.
Two pontoons, equipped with lifting equipment to streamline the transfer of technicians and the loading of parts, will be constructed on the adjacent quays.
The structural work for the O&M base is projected to continue until August 2025, with the entire construction expected to wrap up by February 2026. This timeline is crucial, as it aligns with the operational goals of the Dieppe Le Tréport offshore wind farm, which aims to begin generating sustainable electricity by 2026.
The Dieppe Le Tréport project is a collaborative effort involving Ocean Winds, the Japanese conglomerate Sumitomo Corporation, and the French financial institution Banque des Territoires.
