General – MoU

Yesterday Ousmane Aidara, SBM Offshore Business Development Director for Africa and Petrofund Chief Executive Officer Nillian Mulemi signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on capacity building in Namibia’s oil and gas sector.

The collaboration between SBM Offshore and PETROFUND started 5 months ago and has laid the groundwork to select and onboard Namibian Graduate trainees into SBM’s Engineering and Procurement team in Malaysia and Namibia.

This partnership underscores a shared commitment to developing a skilled Namibian workforce capable of excelling in the upstream petroleum industry.

The signing ceremony was also attended by representatives from the Malaysian High Commission to Namibia and the Dutch Consulate.
