Fossil Energy – Drillships

Noble Corporation plans to divest two cold-stacked drillships that have been idle for years to eliminate related costs and prioritise resources on its existing marketed fleet.

The company intends to divest the Pacific Meltem and Pacific Scirocco in a manner which would effectively retire them permanently from drilling operation, including potentially scrapping the units.

Noble became the owner of these two drillships following its merger with Pacific Drilling in 2021.

The 2014-built Pacific Meltem and the 2011-built Pacific Scirocco are cold stacked in the Canary Islands.
