Wind Energy – First Nacelle

Goldwind from China has completed the first nacelle at its new factory in Camaçari, Brazil, acquired from General Electric.

This marks the company’s first manufacturing facility outside China.

The new factory is already paying off. Goldwind recently announced an order for 17 GWH182-6.2 MW turbines for SPIC Brasil, the Brazilian subsidiary of the Chinese energy giant SPIC.

With Brazil being the third-largest wind market globally in 2023 – after China and the United States – it’s a strategic move for Goldwind to strengthen its position in international markets.
