Wind Energy – Thor OWF

Dajin Heavy Industry has shipped the last ten of the total 36 monopiles it has been contracted to manufacture for the Danish Thor offshore wind farm from its Penglai plant in China.

Each of the 10 monopiles weighs over 1,100 tonnes and will be delivered to the port of Eemshaven in the Netherlands.

The Chinese company produced the first foundation in the summer of 2024 and delivered the first batch to the Port of Eemshaven in the Netherlands in October 2024.

With a planned capacity of more than 1,000 MW, Thor is Denmark’s largest offshore wind farm to date.
