General – New Crane Vessel

ZPMC from China recently commenced construction on a 5,000-tonne fixed boom crane vessel for Drydocks World.

Upon completion, this vessel will be the largest of its kind across the Persian Gulf and Africa, providing a substantial boost to the region’s heavy-lifting capabilities.

The vessel measures 138.5 meters in length, with a moulded breadth of 52 meters and a draft of 5.8 meters, and it can accommodate up to 58 personnel.

Equipped with an anchor positioning system, its main hook has a lifting capacity of 5,000 tonnes with a reach of 120 meters, while the auxiliary hook offers a 600-tonne lifting capacity, extending to a height of 180 meters.

Built for versatility, this crane vessel is designed to handle various offshore projects, including offshore module installations, wind power installations, bridge hoisting, and large-scale vessel assembly.
