Thursday, November 7 2024

Wind Energy – Taiwan

Dong Fang Offshore has been awarded a long-term contract by Vestas for a newbuild SOV supporting the operations & maintenance phase for the Changfang Xidao and Zhong Neng projects, with a firm contract duration of 12 years.

The SOV is the first of two units that have already been ordered and will be delivered in the last quarter of 2026 from the shipyard.

The SOV will fly the flag of Taiwan.

Once delivered, the new SOV will ensure continued employment prospects both for the Taiwanese crew on board the DFO fleet, as well as building confidence within the on-shore team to continue to attract the best and brightest personnel.
