General – Grid Connection

Corio Generation’s BadaEnergy portfolio – a joint venture with TotalEnergies and SK ecoplant – recently signed a grid connection agreement with Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO).

This milestone agreement secures the connection of our 1.5 GW Gray Whale floating offshore wind project to South Korea’s national grid.

Woojin Choi, Head of South Korea at Corio Generation, said: “This agreement is a landmark achievement for BadaEnergy and underscores Corio Generation’s commitment to supporting South Korea’s clean energy transition. We are thrilled to take this step with our partners, delivering sustainable, renewable energy to the country and contributing to the development of the world’s largest floating offshore wind power cluster in Ulsan.”
