Wind Energy – Floating Wind Platforms

Mooreast has signed a two-year collaboration agreement with the National Taiwan Ocean University (NTOU) to enhance floating offshore wind platforms.

The partnership aims to improve platform stability and performance through wave dynamic response analysis, tailored to the complex sea conditions faced by offshore wind farms.

This latest collaboration comes as Mooreast continues to strengthen its position in the offshore renewable energy sector. Earlier this year, Mooreast expanded into Europe with the incorporation of its Scottish subsidiary, aiming to tap into floating offshore wind opportunities in the region. This move aligns with the company’s strategic focus on floating renewable energy, where it leverages its experience in mooring systems across Europe and Asia.

In Taiwan, the partnership with NTOU supports the country’s goals of becoming a central hub for floating offshore wind development. Taiwan has a clear policy framework for offshore wind, and this collaboration is expected to bolster local industry capabilities while fostering academic and practical knowledge exchange.

Mooreast Taiwan will also provide internships and host on-campus seminars to connect academia with industry expertise, contributing to the development of Taiwan’s next generation of engineers.
