General – Contracts

Norway’s Edda Wind has signed charter contracts for two of its new buildings, with commencement immediately following yard delivery in November 2024 and the second quarter of 2025 for C503 and NB967, respectively.

The first contract is related to the vessel C503, to be named Vestri Enabler, which is expected to be delivered from Astilleros Gondán, Spain, in late November 2024.

The charter contract has been signed with an undisclosed client for operations in the UK, lasting four months with options to extend the contract.

The second charter contract is related to the vessel NB967, which is planned to be delivered from Vard, Vietnam, in the second quarter of 2025.

The vessel is set to serve an undisclosed client in Taiwan for a minimum duration of six months, marking the company’s entry into this market.

Additionally, Edda Wind said that the current time charter contract for the commissioning service operation vessel (CSOV) Edda Nordri has been extended until the end of 2024, meaning that Edda Wind is fully booked for all its vessels until the end of the year.

Delivered in 2023 to Edda Wind, the vessel is a purpose-built CSOV prepared for emission-free operations with a hydrogen-based propulsion system based on the Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier (LOHC) concept.
