Wind Energy – Piling Operations

Les Éoliennes en Mer Services from France announced on social media that the construction of the Dieppe Le Tréport wind farm is progressing and has reached a milestone with 50% of the piles now installed.

Since the end of June, the construction of the Dieppe le Tréport wind farm, a project developed by OW Ocean Winds (joint venture ENGIE and EDPR), has been progressing at a steady pace.

The piles to support the jacket foundations of the wind turbines are installed thanks to the mobilization of several specialized vessels.

The Apollo jack-up vessel from DEME Group conducted the first piling operations. It has successfully completed the installation of piles for 32 of the 62 foundations planned in accordance with the provisional schedule. This corresponds to 128 piles installed, i.e. more than 50% of the total to be installed.

It is to continue in this dynamic that the Sea Challenger arrived in the area on August 31st. She will carry out drilling work on positions where piling is impossible.
