Wind Energy – Ramboll
Ramboll has been awarded the contract for the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) services for the pioneering West of Orkney Windfarm offshore wind project developed by OWPL, a consortium of Corio Generation, TotalEnergies, and RIDG.
Following successful Pre-FEED endeavours, Ramboll’s expertise has been tapped once again to spearhead the development of FEED design services. During this phase, we will develop designs for up to 125 fixed-bottom foundations with dual options – monopile and jacket.
Ramboll’s role is pivotal in providing comprehensive technical insights, including assessing steel quantities, identifying and mitigating risks to be as low as reasonably possible and preparing technical requirements. This data will empower the consortium to pinpoint the optimal foundation type for the subsequent phase of the project.
