Renewables – Offshore Solar

Yesterday, Oceans of Energy had the pleasure of welcoming its client, CrossWindHKN, to its office to kick off the next phase of the joint groundbreaking project, that is to deploy an OffshoreSolar farm within Hollandse Kust Noord wind farm making it the most innovative in the world!

At the premise of the factory, Oceans of Energy celebrated the start of the construction phase of 200+ floaters that will make up Oceans of Energy’s proven and certified offshoresolarfarm.

Thanks to the Dutch government, the 2019 wind park tender for Hollandse Kust Noord prioritized innovation and system integration, and last year we were thrilled to be awarded the contract by Crosswind, a JV of Shell and Eneco.

This First-of-a-Kind grid connected offshore solar farm is the building block of the standard 200MWp offshore solar formats of 1km2 that we aim to roll out by the end of this decade, paving the way for offshore solar to become a widespread reality along coastlines around the world.
