Sunday, August 18 2024

Wind Energy – Taiwan

On August 15, Siemens Gamesa announced the official inauguration of Taiwan’s first nacelle plant, marking the start of production.

As the largest facility of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region, the plant will support the development of offshore wind power across the region.

The expanded facility will provide essential components for the 1,022 MW Hai Long Offshore Wind Project, the third phase of Zonal Development wind farms, and various other projects across the Asia-Pacific.

This achievement is a step towards promoting industrial upgrading and realizing the vision of establishing Taiwan as a hub for offshore wind turbine nacelle production.
