Wind Energy – Transition Pieces

Windar Renovables has celebrated the shipment of the last five transition pieces of the offshore wind farm Vineyard Wind I that develops Iberdrola Renewables in US waters.

The Spanish company has manufactured a total of 62 structures at its facilities in Avilés, with the first unit being rolled out in December 2022.

The completion of this project was accompanied by a visit between the presidents of both companies, Ignacio Galán and Orlando Alonso, who bid farewell to the ship that is now setting sail for the east coast of the United States.

DEME Offshore US is responsible for the transportation and installation of the units.

In addition to this project, the collaboration between Iberdrola and Windar Renovables continues with the production of 95 transition pieces + 45 monopiles for its East Anglia THREE offshore wind farm.
