Fossil Energy – TCP Flowlines
Strohm, based in the Netherlands, has been awarded a significant contract to supply TCP Flowlines for an offshore field located in the Santos Basin.
This is Strohm’s largest commercial contract to date and a debut project in the Brazilian pre-salt region.
Martin Van Onna, CEO of Strohm, said: “We are immensely proud of this achievement, which builds upon our longstanding partnership with TotalEnergies. As the pioneer of TCP technology, we have experienced their strong support since as early as 2009. Recently TotalEnergies installed a TCP Jumper at the Egina field, and now we welcome this TCP Flowline contract – the ‘definitive solution’ that the industry has been seeking.”
Scheduled for installation in 2026 at a water depth of 2,200 meters, this groundbreaking project signifies a pivotal moment for the offshore industry. Strohm’s innovative TCP technology, renowned for its resilience and sustainability, has been chosen for its corrosion immunity, specifically targeting Carbon dioxide-induced stress corrosion cracking (SCC-CO2), and offers a remarkable 30-year design life.
