DP2 survey vessel, Glomar Supporter, will lead the geophysical surveys crucial for the anchor design of the floating turbines. This project, developed by Flotation Energy and Vårgrønn, will bolster Scotland’s floating offshore wind sector, creating and upskilling jobs.

The geophysical surveys carried out are said to be key in informing the anchor design for the floating wind turbines.

Located 80 km east of Peterhead, Scotland, Green Volt will generate 1.5TWh of clean energy annually, reducing CO2 emissions by 1 million tons per year.
