Wednesday, July 24 2024

General – CSOV

Edda Wind announced that the company’s new build NB966, was successfully launched at Vard Braila in Romania.

The vessel is the second of four vessels in the VARD 4 25 series and is now alongside the yard together with NB965. Like her sister vessel, NB966 has all underwater equipment installed.

She will stay approx. 3 months quayside in Vard Braila before being towed to Vard Brattvåg in Norway for commissioning, topside installation, and sea trials before delivery.

The VARD 4 25 Commissioning Service Operation Vessels design has been designed exclusively for Edda Wind. It is designed with unparalleled flexibility and operability for operations in wind farms anywhere in the world.

The vessel will accommodate up to 120 persons in 101 cabins and is being prepared for zero-emission operations based on a Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier (LOHC) concept in addition to being methanol ready.
