Fossil Energy – Living Quarters

Seatrium has awarded CIMC Raffles EPC contracts to supply hulls for two FPSOs ordered by Petrobras for the Atapu and Sepia oil fields in Brazil’s presalt Santos Basin.

The P-84 and P-85 will each have an oil production capacity of 225,000 bbl/d, and gas processing of up to 10 MMcm/d.

They will also feature technologies to enable zero routine flaring and venting, and variable-speed drives and other measures to limit emissions and capture CO2. These includes Petrobras’ all-electric configuration, designed for more efficient power generation and a 30% reduction in greenhouse-gas emissions.

CIMC Raffles’ scope covers the hulls, living quarters and M15B topside module for both vessels. Atapu and Sépia are in the eastern Santos Basin, 200 km from Rio de Janeiro.
