Wind Energy – Estonia
Estonia’s Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (CPTRA) announced that no bids were submitted in the auction for the third area designated for the construction of a wind farm in the Baltic Sea which concluded on Thursday.
The country sought to award the Saare 3 sea area, spanning 20.1 square kilometres (7.76 sq mi), at a starting price of EUR 301,500 (USD 325,620).
Two companies, namely Deep Wind Offshore AS and OU Utilitas Wind, qualified to participate in the Saare 3 tender but neither of them submitted an offer.
