Wind Energy – Port of Nigg

Port of Nigg completes the first phase of the Moray West Offshore Wind Farm.

A total of 62 Transition Pieces have been marshalled from our East Quay, destined for installation offshore by DEME’s Apollo jack-up vessel.

This scope of work has been ably supported by Global Port Services and Global Energy Services, who have provided onsite services including craneage, logistics, mounting ancillary equipment, and inspection & repair.

Th Port of Nigg now turns to the next phase of OW Ocean Winds exciting project, with Siemens Gamesa operating from our South Quay for the preassembly and marshalling of wind turbine components.

The tower sections, nacelles, and blades are being stored throughout the site ahead of their installation by Cadeler’s Wind Orca jack-up vessel.
