Features include a DP3 dynamic positioning system and a heavy-lift capacity of up to 5,200 metric tons.

The SOC5000 design vessel is capable of laying pipelines up to 36-inch diameter in J-Lay mode, and up to 60-inch in S-Lay mode, in water depths of up to 3,000 m.
