They are intending to built six vessels each 254.8 metres in length, 79.8 metres wide and 14 metres in depth, with a deadweight of 60,000 tonnes.
Blueocean signed the design contract with Shanghai Merchant Ship Design & Research Institute (Sdari) on May 12 in Shanghai.
BOW is a private company and owns six newly built fabrication yards along the Chinese coast, all equipped with giant gantry cranes and deep water wet docks.
The semi-submersible vessels will be used for transporting floating wind platforms from Chinese yards to projects worldwide, with a focus on Europe.
The investment per vessel is estimated on $165m.
