General – New Survey Vessel
G-Tec in Liege, acting as DEME’s fully integrated Business Unit Geoscience, announced the newest addition to its fleet: the state-of-the-art survey vessel Karina!

The main distinction from all other BUs within DEME is that G-TEC presents itself on the international market under its own name.
The 55m long DP vessel is permanently equipped with cutting-edge survey equipment, such as a Hull-Mounted Dual-Head Multibeam, Side Scan Sonar, Sub-bottom Profilers, Magnetometers and Gradiometers Frames to serve various types of works, including UXO surveys.
Karina is very well fitted for 2D and 3D UHRS acquisitions as she has a very low acoustic signature.
The vessel operates with very low fuel consumption, even at high transit speed and is also able to run 100% on biofuel.
Within the coming days, she will start her first project on an Offshore Wind Farm project in European waters.
G-TEC provides specialized geophysical and GIS Services covering the full lifecycle of marine infrastructure developments or projects.
