Wind Energy – USA
Oceantic Network from the US announced the formation of a West Coast Supplier Council, focused on the unique needs and development of the region’s offshore wind sector and its supply chain.
Using the knowledge and experience of Network members in the west coast supply chain, the Council will ensure that supply chain perspectives and expertise are included in state and federal planning processes covering the U.S. West Coast.
The West Coast Supplier Council is made up of companies that act as original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), engineering procurement and construction (EPC) firms, and Tier 1 suppliers. Additionally, the companies serving as founding members of the Council have all delivered technology, components, or infrastructure to at least one full-scale offshore wind project operating globally or under construction in the U.S. The Council will work with all major stakeholders on the development of a healthy offshore wind sector on the West Coast, including, but not limited to, project developers, labour unions, policymakers, port authorities, environmental advocates, and other groups.
Founding members of the West Coast Supplier Council include:
Aker Solutions AS
