Petrobras opts to delay tenders to charter two FPSOs

Tuesday, February 20 2024

Fossil Energy – Petrobras

Brazilian state-run company Petrobras delayed the deadline for the delivery of commercial proposals to charter the FPSOs (I and II) for its Sergipe Deepwater project (SEAP).

“It is necessary to improve the conditions of the public notice, in order to make the tenders more attractive and competitive,” the federal oil giant said in a release.

Petrobras opted for the postponement in the absence of players working on bids related to the tenders.

One of the main factors for the lack of bidders is the limitation on obtaining credit to build the production units, which are relatively large, with the capacity to produce 120,000b/d and 10-12Mm3/d of gas.
