Petrobras joins offshore São Tomé and Príncipe consortia

Petrobras has formalized its entry into three exploration blocks offshore São Tomé and Príncipe, Africa, and it has signed amendments to the production sharing contracts and joint operating agreements.

In each case, Shell remains the operator with a 40% interest.

Petrobras has acquired 45% stakes in blocks 10 and 13 and a 25% interest in block 11. Galp holds 20% of Block 11, and ANP-STP has 15% in all three concessions.
