Iceland, surrounded by the awe-inspiring expanse of the North Atlantic Ocean, has long been known as the ‘land of fire and ice’. Now, with the establishment of Haf-Afl, this island nation is poised to become the ‘land of blue gold’ as it ventures into the dynamic world of wave power.

Haf-Afl is committed to leveraging the abundant marine energy resources in the local waters for the greater benefit of the Icelandic community, ensuring that these local resources are used for local purposes.

Geir Arne Solheim, CEO of Havkraft, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “The market’s positive response to our value propositions is truly gratifying. Early adopters hold the potential to emerge as winners in the evolving landscape of sustainable energy companies. We are excited to join forces with Haf-Afl to create commercial-scale wave power projects that will leave a lasting impact.”

Eyvar Geirsson, CEO of Haf-Afl, stated, “Our collaboration with Havkraft is a testament to our dedication to making Iceland a global leader in wave power. Together, we will unlock the immense potential of our marine resources for a greener and more sustainable future.”
