The Belgium House made its debut at the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting in Davos.

The House is an initiative by leading Belgian companies, including DEME, to showcase the strengths of the country’s economy, supported by the Chancellery of the Prime Minister and the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and coordinated by European Business Summits.

DEME’s CEO Luc Vandenbulcke participated in two high-profile sessions, emphasising Belgium’s role in the global energy transition.

Luc Vandenbulcke joined Bill Gates, founder of Breakthrough Energy and co-chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo on stage to discuss the future of clean energy innovation.

DEME’s CEO also participated in a panel discussion about ‘Building Blocks of the Global Energy System’, highlighting DEME’s successful partnership with the government of Oman in green hydrogen production.
