Lamprell secures renewables reservation agreement

Saturday, December 23 2023

Wind Energy – Norfolk Vanguard

Lamprell has signed a capacity reservation agreement for the Norfolk Vanguard project.

The reservation agreement secures capacity in Lamprell’s Hamriyah yard in the UAE.

The base scope of work entails the supply of 2 x 92 wind turbine generator (15 MW) foundation transition pieces for the Norfolk Vanguard West and Norfolk Vanguard East Wind Farms, and the shipping of these to Tees Work Port in the UK.

Recently acquired by RWE from Vattenfall, the Norfolk Vanguard project, which is a 4.2-gigawatt UK offshore wind development, is expected to be commissioned this decade.

Lamprell anticipates using its state-of-the-art renewables production line, through which we are able to construct wind turbine generator jacket components, including transition pieces and monopiles, to deliver the project.
